🕸️ “Ghost Nets” Wins 3 Grand Prix and 11 Awards at the Kristal Apple Awards 2025

What started as an awareness idea grew into a powerful visual statement: using 4 tons of abandoned fishing nets pulled from the Marmara Sea, the team transformed Ocaklar Village into a haunting “Ghost Village” overnight. The installation became a poetic yet alarming reminder of how close and real this invisible threat truly is.

At the 37th Kristal Apple Awards, Ghost Nets was honored with:
🍎 Grand Prix – Outdoor
🍎 Grand Prix – Integrated Campaign
🍎 Grand Prix – Media Use
🏆 And a total of 11 awards that turned this story into something far greater.

“Ghost Nets” was never just a campaign it was a call to make the invisible visible, to defend fishing, nature, and humanity in the same breath.

But beyond the trophies, the greatest achievement was building this story together with courage, belief, and collaboration.

A heartfelt thank you to CarrefourSA for believing in the vision and championing sustainability, to TBWA\Istanbul for shaping the project with big and bold thinking, to our director YiÄźit Karagöz for bringing soul behind the lens, to the entire art and production crew, and to every diver, local, and villager who made this story real.

The “Ghost Nets” campaign stands as a testament to the power of storytelling and design when creativity meets purpose, awareness turns into impact.
